The LGPD (General Data Protection Law) is the regulation that protects personal information throughout the Brazilian territory.

It has become the regional Data Protection Standard, and many organizations and companies are aligned with this law, therefore, the importance to know in greater depth its scope and the application of this regulation.

The Brazilian Parliament passed it as Law No. 13,709 in August 2018.

It has since been amended and entered into force on September 18, 2020.

The LGDP aims to protect individuals and their privacy, with special emphasis on their data, imposing duties and limitations on processing agents, elevating information protection to the human rights category, with this law applicable in all areas of life.
